"The GWW (Don) was a Master of Creative Woodwork and it shows in the furniture and wood designs he created after he retired.  You can see some of his excellent crafted designs under the link "Gallery".

The GWW was a kind and gentle man who contracted lung cancer and braved it out till the end of Christmas Eve 2004.  The highlight of his life, in his own words, was modelling this jacket at the DecoArt Fashion Show in Las Vegas.  He won First Place Blue Ribbon and People's Choice Red Ribbon for US$500.00.  He's well remembered by many who attended Art Conventions and friends in Australia.  He was President of the Pool Club at the Golden Age Club.

MISS KITTY was a Tortoise cat and when she finally showed herself, after we bought our house, was very cautious for a number of years but within five years, she adopted us completely and traveled with us to many places in our van…even went to Reno and Las Vegas Art Conventions.  There were never disagreements between Miss Kitty and Toby…he was the boss and she let him carry that role. I painted her on a wall downstairs near my Studio because she loved to watch me paint.  Miss Kitty was 18 years old when she left us in February 2004 and is buried at the Country Club Pet Resort with Toby

TOBY was an energetic Cocker Spaniel.  He was behaved well enough for Don to take him to work every day where he established a friendship with the staff at CFB Calgary and had big fields to run in and chase a ball.  Playing ball was one of the highlights of his life and sometimes the kids in the park let him play Fielder and retrieve out-of bounds baseballs for them.  Toby was 14 years old when he left us in June 2000 and is buried at the Country Club Pet Resort just outside of Calgary.
